Panic Bars
Panic bars, also known as push bars, are reliable tools for opening locked doors from within a premise, and are used in many commercial settings. They are often required on many emergency exits because of their ease of use and universal reliability. Doors equipped with push bars are opened by simply pushing on the horizontal metal bar, and can be set to immediately lock upon closure due to a loaded spring located within the enclosed body. If it is desired to grant access from either side of a door, then by having a handle on the side opposite the push bar, and leaving the latch in the open position, gives the option for the door to be opened from either side.
Door push bars are now so common that most people use them on a daily basis without realizing it. Although they may appear to all be the same to the average user, there are some major advantages to getting quality push bars. These devices are subject to repetitive wear and tear throughout the span of just one day. Over time, this can lead to malfunctioning and even broken panic bars. Not only does this cost valuable time and money to replace or fix, but it puts businesses at legal risk for failing to meet the legal obligation to maintain a safe business environment for invitees. Although these instances are rare, it gives peace of mind knowing that you are using panic bars that are more robust and less likely to break than the average device.
This panic bar is built with heavy-duty ANSI Grade 1 steel construction.
